There is a softer side to the villa that you notice once you settle in. Natural textures, pale colours and plenty of outdoor space give the rooms an easy Riviera feel.

The main house has six bedrooms, while another three sit in the separate guest pavilion. That works nicely when you are travelling with a large family or several couples. Everyone stays close, but you are not all living on top of each other.

For the two master suites, there is a little more room to spread out. Private lounges, dressing areas and direct access to the terraces give you somewhere to disappear when you want some quiet.

Downstairs, upstairs, outside — there is always another place to sit. The living rooms are made for long conversations, while the terraces give you a completely different view of the day.

And then there are the gardens. Take your coffee outside in the morning. Find some shade later in the afternoon. You might even forget that Antibes is only a short drive away.

LIFE ON THE CAP D'ANTIBES

The beauty of staying here is that you do not have to choose between a private villa and the Côte d'Azur.

Antibes is close when you feel like going out. Juan-les-Pins, the beaches and the rest of the Riviera are easy to reach too, so you could spend the morning on the water and be back at the villa for lunch.

Perhaps today is a boat day. Your concierge can arrange a yacht, a tender or whatever else you need for time on the Mediterranean.

Tomorrow could be much slower. Stay by the pool, walk around the grounds and have lunch outside. Nobody is going to tell you that you need to be somewhere else.

There is also Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Its facilities are available to villa guests, giving you another option when you want a change of scene. Spend some time at the hotel, then come back to your own private estate.

POOL & WELLNESS

The pool will probably become part of your daily routine. It is heated, set outdoors and designed so the water seems to run straight towards the Mediterranean beyond it.

Grab a book and settle beside the pool. Swim for a while. Or do absolutely nothing for an hour. All three work here.

When you want to warm up, head inside to the sauna. The mosaic steam room gives you another option, particularly after a swim or workout.

A private treatment room means you do not have to leave the villa for a massage. Treatments can be arranged around your plans, rather than the other way around.

There is a fitness studio as well. Get your workout done early, use it later in the day or skip it altogether.

For a longer spa session, the Dior Spa Eden-Roc is available through the hotel's facilities. You can spend a few hours there and return to the villa when you are ready for the quieter part of the afternoon.

FOOD, WINE & EVENINGS

Meals here follow your schedule. Early breakfast before a day on the water? No problem. A long lunch by the pool? That works too.

Your private chef prepares the food around your group, with the main dining room giving everyone somewhere to sit together. There is room for 18 around the table, so larger groups do not have to split up at dinner.

When the weather is good, take the meal outside. The summer kitchen has a pizza oven and barbecue, making it easy to keep things relaxed.

Then there is the wine cellar downstairs. Pick something for dinner, arrange a tasting or simply have a look around before everyone sits down.

Later on, you have choices. Put on a film in the 12-seat cinema. Pour another drink at the bar. Stay in the living room and keep talking.

If nobody feels like going to bed, there is no reason to rush.

PRIVACY & SERVICE

Villa La Guettière gives you your own corner of Cap d'Antibes without putting you far away from everything happening along the coast.

The grounds are large enough that you can spend much of the day without seeing anyone outside your group. Take a walk through the gardens, settle beside the pool or stay indoors when you want a break from the summer heat.

Behind the scenes, the villa team handles the practical details. Your chef looks after the meals, while the butlers and housekeepers keep things running smoothly.

Need a restaurant? Want to book a yacht? Perhaps you have changed your plans and would rather spend tomorrow somewhere completely different. The concierge can make the arrangements.

Having Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc nearby adds another layer of service. You can use the hotel's facilities when you want them, then return to the privacy of your own villa afterwards.

With 18 guests across two separate buildings, the setup also gives larger groups room to breathe. Everyone is together, but nobody has to spend every minute together.
