YOUR STAY

Le Grand Jardin has a long history, and you notice it as soon as you arrive. The estate includes the Governor’s House, an old fort tower and several smaller cottages, all set within the same private grounds.

The Governor’s House provides the main setting for group living, with generous rooms and a private library. The tower has its own suite, while the cottages give families or smaller groups a little more space of their own.

Inside, historic details sit alongside more contemporary interiors. Timber, fine fabrics, leather and carefully chosen furnishings keep the rooms comfortable without taking away from the character of the old buildings.

Twelve en-suite bedrooms accommodate up to 24 guests. With the rooms spread across several buildings, you can spend time together when you want to and disappear somewhere quiet when you don't.

Then there is the island itself. Walk through the gardens in the morning, sit beneath the trees with a coffee or head down to the water before everyone else is awake.

ISLAND LIFE & THE MEDITERRANEAN

You are only a short boat ride from Cannes, but the feeling is very different once you reach Île Sainte-Marguerite. There are no cars around the estate, and the gardens give you plenty of space to wander.

Take the private tender into Cannes when you feel like going out. The journey takes around ten minutes, so a lunch on the mainland or an evening in town is still easy to arrange.

Back on the island, you have more than 14,000 square metres of grounds to explore. Old palms, cypresses, citrus trees and stone paths give the gardens a distinctly Mediterranean feel.

Perhaps you want to spend the afternoon by the pool. Or take a walk through the gardens, find a quiet corner and stay there with a book.

The setting also works well for time on the water. Your boat and crew can help you get out onto the Mediterranean, whether you want a simple transfer or a longer day around the coast.

POOLS & WELLNESS

There are two very different places to swim at Le Grand Jardin. The heated outdoor lap pool is made for proper swimming, while the natural pool, with water lilies and koi, is a quieter place to sit and cool off.

The wellness area gives you somewhere to slow down after a busy day. A hammam and Finnish sauna provide the heat, while the treatment rooms can be used for massages and other treatments arranged during your stay.

There is also a fitness studio for anyone who wants to keep up with their usual routine. Personal training and other wellness services could be arranged as part of your stay.

For something less structured, head back outside. Find a lounger in the gardens, take a dip in the pool and let the afternoon take care of itself.

FOOD & EVENINGS

Meals are prepared around your group, with your private chef taking care of breakfast, lunch and dinner. You could keep things simple during the day or sit down to a longer meal in the evening.

Outdoor dining makes the most of the Mediterranean setting. Gather around the long table, open a bottle of wine and take your time over dinner while the gardens settle around you.

There is plenty of room for larger occasions too. The estate's indoor and outdoor spaces could be used for private celebrations, family dinners or bigger gatherings.

When you want something quieter, stay at home with your group. A drink after dinner, a film in the private cinema or a late walk through the gardens are all easy options.

And if you decide you want to head into Cannes instead, the boat is ready.

PRIVACY & SERVICE

Le Grand Jardin is the only private estate on Île Sainte-Marguerite, giving your group a level of privacy that is difficult to find so close to Cannes.

The island setting means you have a natural sense of separation from the mainland. At the same time, Cannes remains close enough that you can come and go whenever you like.

A dedicated team looks after the practical side of your stay. Your chef handles the meals, while butlers, housekeepers and a house manager take care of the day-to-day details.

You also have a private boat and captain available, making trips between the island and Cannes straightforward. The concierge team can help organise activities, transport, dining and other arrangements during your stay.

For a group of family or friends, the layout works particularly well. There is enough space to be together, but the separate buildings mean you never feel as though everyone has to share the same room.
