Glen Affric Estate
Scotland
12 Bedrooms
Glen Affric Estate gives you 10,000 acres of Highland countryside to explore, with Loch Affric stretching out beside the estate. Twelve bedrooms provide space for up to 24 guests across the main lodge and cottages, making it well suited to a private group stay. Days here are spent outdoors, whether you are fishing, walking, kayaking or heading out with a ghillie. Back at the lodge, there is good food, comfortable rooms and plenty of space to slow down.

YOUR STAY
There is something very different about arriving somewhere with this much land around you. The estate sits among mountains, forests and open Highland scenery, with very little to interrupt the view.
Inside the Victorian lodge, the atmosphere is more traditional. Tartan fabrics, antique furniture and oil paintings sit alongside open fireplaces and comfortable sitting rooms.
Twelve bedrooms are spread between the main lodge and the stable cottages, giving larger groups a little more flexibility. Families or friends can stay together while still having somewhere quiet to retreat to.
The master suite has a four-poster bed, marble fireplace and views towards the loch. Elsewhere, the rooms have their own character, with deep baths and views across the surrounding landscape.
When you are not outside, the drawing room and reading room give you somewhere to settle in. You might spend an hour with a book, sit beside the fire or simply watch the weather move across the hills.
THE HIGHLANDS & OUTDOOR LIFE
Glen Affric is a place for being outside. The estate gives you access to its own stretches of countryside and shoreline, so your days do not need to follow the usual holiday routine.
Fishing is one option, with the loch and surrounding waters providing a setting for fly fishing. Your ghillies can also arrange deer stalking and other country pursuits depending on the season.
There is plenty for those who would rather stay away from traditional sporting activities. Walk through the pine forests, head out onto the water in a kayak or spend some time looking for local wildlife.
Clay pigeon shooting is available too, while off-road excursions offer another way to see more of the estate.
After a full day outdoors, there is something satisfying about coming back to the lodge. Muddy boots come off, drinks appear and the pace slows down.
WELLNESS & RELAXATION
Wellness here is closely tied to the setting. Rather than spending the whole day inside a spa, you can make the most of the Highland air before returning to somewhere warm.
The lochside hot tub is an easy place to start. Sit in the water, look across Loch Affric and take your time while the landscape carries on around you.
A Finnish sauna gives you another way to warm up after a cold day outside. There are also treatment rooms where massages and other treatments can be arranged during your stay.
For something quieter, take a walk along the private shoreline or spend time on the outdoor yoga and mindfulness deck.
The bedrooms offer another chance to slow down. Deep standalone baths give you somewhere comfortable to end the day, particularly after a long walk through the glens.
DINING & EVENINGS
Meals are prepared around your group, with the estate's private chef making use of Scottish ingredients and produce from the surrounding area.
Fresh loch trout and estate venison could feature on the menu, alongside seasonal local produce. Breakfast can be as relaxed or as early as your plans require, especially if you are heading out for a full day in the Highlands.
Dinner gives everyone a chance to come back together. Sit around the table in the wood-panelled dining room, take your time over the meal and let the conversation carry on afterwards.
For a different kind of evening, head to the whisky room for a tasting of Scottish single malts. The games room offers another place to spend time together, with billiards and card tables available.
There is no need to fill every evening with an activity. Sometimes the best part is simply sitting beside the fire while the weather changes outside.
PRIVACY & SERVICE
The size of Glen Affric Estate means your group has plenty of room to spread out. With 10,000 acres surrounding the accommodation, you can spend much of your stay without encountering anyone outside your party.
A dedicated team looks after the practical details. Estate staff, butlers, chefs and ghillies are available throughout your stay, allowing you to decide how much or how little you want to plan yourself.
Your ghillie can organise fishing, stalking, wildlife outings and other outdoor activities, while the wider team can arrange transport and excursions beyond the estate.
There is also a private helipad on the estate, providing another way to arrive or depart when arranged in advance.
For larger families and groups, the separate cottages are particularly useful. Everyone stays within the same estate while having their own space when they want it.
