YOUR STAY

Walk through the front door and you immediately get a feel for the chalet's character. The design is modern, but there is plenty of timber and stone throughout the rooms, so it still feels like somewhere that belongs in the Alps.

Seven en-suite bedrooms give everyone a comfortable place to sleep. The master suite takes up much of the top floor and comes with a dressing room, walk-in wardrobe and private balcony.

Five of the other bedrooms can be set up with either king-size or twin beds. That makes things easier when you are travelling with different groups of friends or family members.

Children get their own space too. The family suite has bunk beds and a climbing wall built into the room, so younger guests have somewhere to burn off some energy.

Then there is the slide.

Rather than walking down to the games room, you can climb into the indoor tube slide and take the quicker route. It is fun, slightly unexpected and probably something the children will want to do more than once.

MORZINE & THE MOUNTAINS

Morzine gives you access to the Portes du Soleil, so there is plenty of skiing and snowboarding to fill your days. You could spend the morning exploring the slopes, stop for lunch in the mountains and carry on until the lifts close.

Back at Chalet Tataali, the pace changes completely. The chalet sits away from the busier centre of Morzine, with the River Dranse flowing alongside the property and the surrounding mountains visible from the terraces.

Private ski instructors and mountain guides can be arranged if you want to explore with someone who knows the area well. Your team can also help organise other activities and transport during your stay.

Come outside the winter season and you have a different side of the valley to enjoy. Hiking, cycling and other mountain activities give you plenty of reasons to spend time outdoors.

PRIVATE WELLNESS

You do not have to go anywhere after skiing. The wellness area is downstairs, giving you a quiet place to spend the rest of the afternoon.

The 10-metre indoor pool is heated and fitted with massage jets and a counter-current system. Swim a few lengths, sit in the water for a while or let the children make use of the pool while you relax nearby.

A swing hangs above the water, adding one of those details you probably would not expect to find in a private chalet.

When you want more heat, the Nordic sauna and mosaic-tiled hammam are ready. There is also a Technogym fitness studio if you feel like exercising before dinner.

For something more relaxing, book a treatment in the private treatment room. Once you are finished, take your drink outside and settle into the hot tub beside the river.

The sound of the water, the mountains in front of you and the warmth of the tub make it an easy place to stay for a while.

FOOD & EVENINGS

You have your own private chef during the stay, so meals can follow whatever rhythm suits your group. Breakfast could be a slow start before skiing, while dinner gives you a chance to sit down properly after the day.

The open kitchen sits close to the dining and living areas, keeping everyone involved rather than hiding the cooking away.

Some evenings might be more formal, with several courses and wine selected to go with the meal. On others, you might prefer something simple before heading downstairs for a film.

The private bar is another place to gather. Pour a drink, find a seat and stay there as long as you like.

When you want a film, the cinema has a 4.60-metre screen and comfortable seating. For something more competitive, there is a full-size pool table and table football in the games areas.

You also have a private wine cellar, so there is no need to go anywhere once the evening gets going.

PRIVACY & SERVICE

Chalet Tataali gives you a good balance between being close to Morzine and feeling away from it. The chalet is gated and sits beside the river, giving your group a private setting for the entire stay.

A team is there to look after the practical side of things. Your chef handles the food, your butler and host take care of requests, and housekeeping keeps the chalet looking after itself while you get on with your holiday.

Two luxury 4x4 vehicles with private drivers are available during the day. You could use them for trips into Morzine, transfers around the area or simply getting everyone to the slopes in the morning.

Need a ski instructor? Want to arrange a helicopter transfer? Looking for somewhere to have dinner outside the chalet? Your concierge can take care of the arrangements.

Most importantly, you are not tied to a schedule. Spend the day skiing, stay around the pool or take your time over lunch. The chalet works around you.
