YOUR STAY

There is plenty of room for everyone here. Five bedrooms mean you do not have to squeeze into a handful of rooms, and the different levels give you space to disappear for a while when you need it.

Upstairs, the main living room is where you will probably end up gathering. The vaulted ceiling gives it a sense of height, while the glass walls keep the Matterhorn in view.

A large fireplace sits in the middle of the room. Pull up a chair, have a drink at the private bar and watch the light change across the mountains outside.

The bedrooms are comfortable and private, with en-suite bathrooms throughout. The master suite has a fireplace of its own, along with a balcony, dressing room and lounge area.

You also have an internal lift connecting the floors, which comes in handy when you are moving between the bedrooms, spa and living areas.

SKIING & MOUNTAIN ACCESS

Getting onto the mountain does not have to be complicated. Chalet McKinley has access towards the Sunnegga funicular, putting one of Zermatt’s main mountain routes within easy reach.

Once you are out there, you have plenty of pistes and mountain terrain to explore. Ski for a few hours, stay out all day or head back for lunch whenever you feel like a break.

Your equipment has its own room at the chalet. Individual lockers and boot warmers mean you can leave your skis and boots there rather than bringing everything into the living areas.

Private instructors and mountain guides can be arranged if you want to explore further or simply have someone else take care of the route.

Zermatt is largely car-free, so electric taxis are available when you need to get around the resort. Your concierge can organise transfers for you.

PRIVATE WELLNESS

After a day in the snow, you may not want to do much more than get warm. The wellness floor gives you a few good ways to do exactly that.

Start with the heated indoor plunge pool. Hydro-massage jets are built into the pool, giving you somewhere to ease tired legs while the soft lighting keeps the atmosphere calm.

The Finnish sauna is lined with wood and gives you a more traditional way to warm up. If you prefer steam, step into the mosaic-tiled steam room and stay there for a while.

There is also a cold plunge for those who enjoy switching between hot and cold. You can take things at your own pace rather than rushing through the different facilities.

A private treatment room is available for massages and beauty treatments. Once you are done, the relaxation lounge beside the pool gives you somewhere to sit quietly before heading upstairs.

ENTERTAINMENT & DINING

The top-floor living area gives you a natural place to spend the evening. You might start with a drink at the private bar, move over to the fireplace and stay there while dinner is being prepared.

Your private chef takes care of the food, with meals arranged around your group's preferences. Breakfast could be ready before you head out, while afternoon tea gives you something to come back to after skiing.

Dinner is served in the main dining area beneath the statement chandelier. The professional kitchen sits nearby, so the chef can prepare everything without taking you away from the conversation.

When you have finished eating, there is no need to go anywhere. Put on a film in the private cinema, find a comfortable spot in the living room or step onto one of the heated balconies.

The mountains look very different after dark. Take a drink outside and you can spend a few quiet minutes looking across Zermatt before turning in.

PRIVACY & SERVICE

Chalet McKinley sits inside the private 7 Mountains development, giving you a quieter setting away from the main flow of Zermatt. You still have the village and its restaurants, shops and lifts within reach, but you return to a more private environment at the end of the day.

A dedicated team looks after the chalet throughout your stay. Your private chef handles the meals, while the chalet manager, host and housekeeping team take care of the everyday details.

The internal lift makes moving around the chalet simple, while the private access towards the Sunnegga funicular means you have a convenient route to the mountain.
