YOUR STAY

The accommodation is spread out rather than concentrated in one large resort building. That means you get your own space, your own outdoor area and a little distance from the rest of the island when you want it.

Choose from beachfront suites or larger estate villas with several bedrooms. If you are travelling with children, friends or a larger family, the villas give everyone somewhere to settle in without having to stay in one room all day.

The larger residences have generous living spaces, vaulted ceilings and plenty of glass. Open the doors in the morning and you can move straight outside for some fresh air and a view of the sea.

Your private pool is another reason to stay close to the villa. Take a quick swim before breakfast or spend the afternoon moving between the pool and the beach.

Then there are the outdoor bathrooms. Rain showers and soaking tubs give you somewhere to cool off and get ready after a day in the sun.

THE CAICOS BANKS & ISLAND LIFE

There is a lot to do around the water. Ambergris Cay sits among the shallow banks of the Turks & Caicos, so you have plenty of opportunities to get out and explore.

Take a boat across the water, go snorkelling or spend some time fishing. Bonefishing is one of the experiences available, with guides able to take you out to areas around the island.

Scuba diving gives you another way to see the marine life beneath the surface. If you would rather stay above the water, paddleboards and other water equipment are available too.

A private catamaran trip is an easy way to spend an afternoon. Find a quiet stretch of water, swim for a while and come back whenever you are ready.

Maybe you don't want an organised activity at all. Walk along the beach, sit in the shallows or find a daybed and let the afternoon pass.

POOL & WELLNESS

Every accommodation comes with its own pool, so you never have to share your swimming time with the rest of the resort. Take a dip first thing in the morning or cool down when the afternoon gets warm.

The island also gives you plenty of natural space for slowing down. You can stretch outside, sit beneath the shade or spend some quiet time looking towards the water.

A dedicated spa gives you another option when you want a treatment. Massages and wellness experiences can be arranged around your day, so you don't have to give up an afternoon excursion to fit one in.

For something even simpler, stay by your own pool. Put your phone away, pick up a book and stay there until you feel like moving.

Later, head down to the beach. The warm Caribbean water is close by, and you can take your time before going back to the villa.

FOOD & EVENINGS

Meals are arranged around your stay, with chefs preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for you and your group. Local seafood and other island ingredients can feature in the menus.

Breakfast might be a slow start after a late night. On another day, you may want to eat early before heading out on the water.

Lunch works well outdoors. Sit near the beach, take your time and go for another swim when you're finished.

When evening arrives, Calico gives you another place to eat and spend time together. You can sit down for dinner, order a drink and stay as long as you like.

Beach barbecues and private dining give you a change of scenery when you don't want to eat in the same place twice.

And if you have spent the whole day outside, there is nothing wrong with keeping dinner simple. Eat, talk, watch the sunset and call it a night.

PRIVACY & SERVICE

Ambergris Cay is a private island, and that changes the pace of your stay. You have plenty of room around your accommodation, with beaches and open spaces where you can get away from the busier areas.

A dedicated team takes care of the practical side of things. Your estate manager, chefs and island hosts are there throughout the stay, while your concierge can help with activities and transport.

Getting here is easier than you might expect. The island has its own 5,700-foot airstrip, allowing private aircraft to land directly on Ambergris Cay.

Once you are on the island, in-resort transportation makes getting around straightforward. You can move between your villa, the beach, restaurants and activities without having to arrange a car every time.

Want to go fishing tomorrow? Ask. Fancy a boat trip instead? That can be arranged. Or perhaps you would rather stay in your villa all day. That works too.
